Do Not Make Fashion The Sheep Factor!

People today definitely seem more and more inclined to follow fashion religiously. There are so many cakey TV shows on right now that portray the worst people possible all trying to look the same; and one that comes from Essex has to be top of this nauseating list. But, does fashion really have to go to the extent of everyone behaving like sheep?

I would argue not! I feel that we should all show some regard to the fashion of the day and perhaps take snippets and examples from these suggestions and work them to create your own unique style. This will involve thinking outside of the box: perhaps using totally different accessories like scarves and gemstone ring that are not being worn by 99 per cent of the rest of the population.

It has reached the extent now where it can seem as though we are all living in a George Orwell novel - people seem like clones and have completely forgotten how to create a style that is entirely unique to themselves.

Some people argue that this present attitude toward fashion stems from the boom years of the late-twentieth and early-twenty-first centuries. This was the time where we all had more money and wanted to make sure we had the same as everyone else. This particularly spoilt the younger generation and they are by far the biggest culprits for this sheep factor.

Now that the economy is on such a downward trend, it will be interesting to see how this will affect the fashion of tomorrow. Perhaps people will have less money to follow fashion quite so religiously; maybe people will be forced to just take snippets from fashion and work them with the clothes and accessories they have access to. Well, we all live in hope!
